St. Nicholas Eve

 We started a new Christmas tradition this year with our besties, the Smith's. They celebrate this every year and this year we got in on the celebration.

 We had a beautiful and delicious dinner complete with table gifts and party favors. 

 The kids loved making monkey bread for dessert and it was delicious.

 

After dinner and dessert we had a little lesson about why we have the Christmas symbols that we do -- the tree, star, candy canes, ect. Then that night the kids left their shoes out and the St. Nicholas Eve elves filled them with treats and toys. It was fun to add a new tradition to our Christmas season and we'll definitely keep it up (by ourselves, unfortunately) in Kansas.
